wmismail
Convert DRM Protected WMA Audio Files DRM Protected WMA Converter Is it possible to "convert" DRM protected WMA files? Technically, no. It is illegal to circumvent Microsoft's protection in order to convert WMA files protected with Digital Rights Management (DRM). However, there are many legitimate reasons for wanting to convert these protected files, and many feel they should be able to do so. The Blaze Media Pro software features a solution for this. It includes a powerful audio recorder feature that can be used to record DRM protected WMA files as they play in Windows Media Player. It's not a perfect solution, of course, since the recording is real-time, and therefore slower than normal "conversion" for WMA files. However, as far as we know, this is the only solution for legally "converting" DRM protected WMA files. The audio recorder feature can save audio directly to MP3, unprotected WMA (using any desired profile), WAV (using any compression codec), OGG, and more. The audio recorder also includes a recording timer which enables you to schedule the software to record from the selected source at a predefined time and stop after a desired duration. Recorded audio can also be edited after the recording process is complete, without saving first. You only need to save once after all desired alterations are complete. To use the software's audio recorder feature, click "Audio Recorder " from the main window's File menu or select the "Audio Recorder " option from the main window's More Audio Options popup menu. From the resulting window, you can select the source from which you want to record (this is the Input Channel option on the left side of the window), control the recording settings, and click the "Start Recording" button when you're ready to begin. The source to select for recording DRM protected WMA files differs depending on your sound card. However, it is usually called something like "Wave", "What You Hear", "Record Master", or "Stereo Mix" . If you're unsure, you can easily test the options available to determine the correct setting. This selection need only be set once. It will then be saved for convenient future use. When recording is complete, press the "Stop Recording" button, which will finalize the file to disk. Once the new file is saved to disk, you can do anything you want with it, such as burn to CD, use on portable audio players, etc. Blaze Media Pro's audio recorder feature is very reliable and easy to use. Advanced options are available for those who want to take advantage of them, though they are completely optional, making Blaze Media Pro the perfect software for recording WMA files protected with Digital Rights Management (DRM) for users of any experience level.
