KateOS CORE is a multi-purpose system: it can be used as a desktop, workstation, or server system. This edition is targetted towards intermediate and advanced users of KateOS. It provides a menu-based text-mode installer with full control over the system installation. However, each option in the installation has a default value, making a simple installation convenient even for beginners. Apart from the ''standard'' CORE packages, the DVD also contains the KDE and GNOME desktop environments with additional applications. The DVD edition is also perfect for users with slow internet connections.
