Description
Iridient Developer (was RAW Developer) is a powerful image conversion application designed specifically for OS X. Iridient Developer gives advanced photographers total control over every aspect of their digital camera's output, yet still provides easy drag and drop conversion convenience and access to basic adjustments for the casual user. Iridient developer supports RAW files from over 400 digital camera models.

WHAT'S NEW Version 2.4:
New Features:

Support added for RAW images from the Canon G1 X Mark II and EOS 1200D (T5, Kiss X70).
Support added for RAW images from the Panasonic DMC-GH4.
Support added for RAW images from the Nikon 1 V3 and 1 J4.
Support added for RAW images from the Sony ILCA-77M2 (A77 II).
Support added for RAW images from the Samsung NX mini.
Support added for RAW images from the Leica T (Typ 701).
New Find and Open RAW menu item provides an easy way to do a simple search for a source RAW image in the current or parent folder using a basic file name pattern match.
Added a Preference option to always attempt to find and open RAW source images for any standard image (JPEG, TIFF, PNG or PSD) open events such as when using Iridient Developer as an external editor for other software such as Lightroom or Aperture.
Now allows overwriting standard format images (TIFF, PNG, JPEG, etc) on save. Allows for much easier use as an external editor with some programs.
Added a Process Image and Overwrite... menu item to quickly save and overwrite the standard foramt images using the same name, image format, dpi and color profile. It can also be used with RAW images that have been opened from standard format images to allow quick and easy overwriting of the "external edit" image as sent from programs like Lightroom or Aperture.
Now supports ZIP compression for TIFF images with a range of 4 compression options from fast saves to maximum compression. Provides much better compression, especially at 16 bits/channel, than the LZW and PackBits TIFF compression options. Gives similar file size to PNG format.
Now supports a range of 4 compression options for PNG export from fast saves to maximum compression.
Support added for pass through of EXIF user comments field and focal plane resolution.
Support for pass through of TIFF document name metadata field.
New View menu items added for srolling the preview image. Also helps ensure that the image preview scrolling keyboard commands are avaiable regardless of which window may have keyboard focus.
Brought back Tooltips to the thumbnail browser and also added image size, date and exposure settings to the Tooltip information.
Improvements:
Automatic support for alternate RAW aspect ratio (16:9 and 1:1) cropping with Fujifilm X series cameras.
Improved support for Fujifilm X series camera white balance presets (daylight, cloudy, shade, tungsten, fluorescent) directly from RAF image metadata.
Enabled automatic lens corrections for some older Fujifilm compact models (F505EXR, F550EXR, F600EXR, F605EXR).
Improved RAW image crop origin for many recent Sony models (A7, A7R, A99, a3000, a5000, a6000, RX100, RX10, RX1, ...). RAW size and position should match camera JPEGs now.
Improved support for camera white balance presets from some Samung models.
Improved TIFF export speed, in some cases up to 15-30% faster saving. Now using the latest libTIFF (v4.0.3) library.
Improved PNG export speed and updated to latest PNG support libraries (v1.6.10 and zlib v1.2.8) for improved security and performance.
Updated LittleCMS color management engine support to version 2.6.
Tidied up image information (ISO, focal length, aperture and shutter speed) display in the status bar of the preview window.
Export EXIF fields for both shutter speed and exposure time and aperture and f-number, if one or the other exists, for all camera models. Previously Iridient Developer would convert these fields and output both options for some camera models, but not all. Some manufacturers use one field, some the other, and it can make metadata comparisons difficult.
No longer writes copyright metadata if field is all whitespace characters.
Now automatically opens duplicated image(s).
Removed dire warning message when duplicating image(s).
Improved error message on image export failure.
Support for latest EXIF v2.3 ISO speed metadata for support for extended ISO values beyond 65535 (such as 409,600).
Cleaned up display of camera make and model for manufacturers that included the make in the model string as well, should prevent multiple display of the camera make.
Automatically disables TIFF PackBits and LZW compression options for 16 bit/channel export. These old compression formats can given very poor results at high bit depths and in many cases will make the image even larger than with no compression at all.
Bug Fixes:
Fix for some TIFF standard format images that could be being mistaken for RAW images, in particular some ZIP compressed TIFF files from Lightroom.
Fixed ian ssue with the UltraRez scaling methods at low scale values (less than 120%) which would result in the output of all black images.
Properly restores the open/closed state of the metadata Info panel when quitting and re-opening the program.
