Diyelim bilgisayarda bir animasyon yapacaksınız. Biri gelip şunları bunları yapacak, karşısındaki şunları yapacak. Normal şartlar altında (N.Ş.A) bir karakter tasarımcı, el çizimi veya 2-d programlarla kişileri tasarlar. Sonra bir 3D modelleyici uzman tel kafes eğrilerle bir heykeltraş gibi uzun uzun uğraşıp bu modeli oluşturur. Sonra bir diğer uzman renklendirir ve render ile kaplar. Gerçekçi doku ustaları kişilerin saç, cilt, elbise gibi materyallerini oluşturur. Animasyon ustaları bu modeli belli bir sahnede sürekli kullanarak bir yönetmen gibi, ışığı, kamerayı vs. ayarlarlar. En son çıktı hesaplanır ve video olur. Zor bir süreç elbette. Ama sizin şöyle hızlı birşeylere ihtiyacınız var. Temel ayarlarla hazır insan modellerini değiştirebilseniz. Hareket ettirseniz muhteşem olur değil mi? Bizce de öyle. İşte bu yüzden Tanrı dünyayı yaratmış. Tabii bu işin şakası. Poser müthiş bir animasyon yazlımıdır. İşin ustaları küçümseyerek “Hah!
